Sure, it does. It causes the brain to release adrenaline, and that creates a buzz of pleasure and energy. The buzz quickly fades, though. Then you may feel tired or a little down—and you may want that buzz again. Your body is able to build up a high tolerance to nicotine, so you’ll need to smoke more cigarettes to get that same buzz.
Tobacco can make you feel relaxed or slightly euphoric due to nicotine, but it’s not a “high” like stronger drugs. The buzz fades quickly, leaving cravings. Long-term, it harms lungs, heart, and more. Not worth the temporary buzz—addiction sticks around way longer.
