If you vowed to her that you love her ,even if you told her shes your one and only, than thats as good as marriage. All you need is paperwork to make it official. In biblical times they didnt have the symbolic gesture we have, but they had marriage ceremony when they choose to bind two people. Today we have rings ,and specific clothing , and paperworks to declare marriage is official. In my opinion, if you tend to stick with someone and that person is willing to do the same ,than go ahead be like a married couple even without a ceremony. It doesnt mean you trap but you appreciate that your time will only be shared among you two ,and that you tend to stay for a life time.
