According to DMSheets, Manufacturers try to store powders at 70° F +/- 5 degrees. For handloaders, the best advice is to store powder in a cool basement or an interior room that is of “comfortable” temperature. However, 70° F +/- 5 degrees conditions is fine.
A storage area kept between 40°F and 85°F is fine, though, and temperatures can even reach 90°F or 95°F without causing a problem. The safe prac- tice, therefore, is to keep the storage temperature below 95°F. Some users store powder in ambient conditions.
