Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) – as it appears, it is a new novel and an infectious disease caused by a newly discovered coronavirus. This deadly virus first started infecting people in Wuhan, China during the late season of 2019, and has now spread itself to almost all parts of the world, now known as 2019-nCoV.

Most people who fall sick with COVID-19 will experience “mild to moderate symptoms” and recover without special treatment.

*HOW IT SPREADS
The virus that causes COVID-19 is mainly transmitted through droplets generated when an infected person coughs, sneezes, or exhales. These droplets are too heavy to hang in the air, and quickly fall on floors or surfaces.

You can be infected by breathing in the virus if you are within close proximity of someone who has COVID-19, as it travels via air, or by physically touching a contaminated surface and then your eyes, nose or mouth.

Most common symptoms:
– fever
– dry cough
– tiredness

Less common symptoms:
– aches and pains
– sore throat
– diarrhoea

Serious symptoms level:
– difficulty breathing or shortness of breath
– chest pain or pressure
– loss of speech or movement
