An adjective is a word that describes or modifies a noun or pronoun. Adjectives can be used to describe the qualities of someone or something independently or in comparison to something else. For example, in the sentence “The book was terrible”, the word “terrible” is an adjective that describes the noun “book”.

Here are some examples of adjectives:
Descriptive: Adds more information to the noun
Quantitative: Indicates how many or how much
Comparative: Compares nouns to something else
Superlative: Means that something has more of a particular quality than any other of its kind

Here are some tips for using adjectives:
Adjectives can come before or after a noun.

To describe qualities that can vary in amount or degree, adjectives can change form (usually by adding “-er” or “-est”).

Adjectives can also be used with adverbs like “more”, “most”, “less”, “very”, “slightly”, etc.

When an adjective follows a linking verb such as “be” or “seem”, it is called a predicate adjective.

The word “adjective” comes from the Latin nōmen adjectīvum, which is a calque of the Ancient Greek epítheton ónoma, meaning “additional noun”.

    What happens when we sleep

    Mosongo Mobarak

Added an answer on November 5, 2024 at 11:29 am

Several biological processes happen during sleep: The brain stores new information and gets rid of toxic waste. Nerve cells communicate and reorganize, which supports healthy brain function. The body repairs cells, restores energy, and releases molecules like hormones and proteins.

Commercial airliners: Typically fly at altitudes between 30,000 and 42,000 feet, with a maximum safe altitude of around 43,100 feet.

Private jets: Can fly at altitudes above 45,000 feet.

Fighter jets: Typically fly at altitudes between 45,000 and 51,000 feet. Advanced military fighter jets like the F22 Raptor, F35 Lightning, or the Eurofighter Typhoon can reach altitudes of between 50,000–65,000 ft.

Smaller aircraft: Usually fly at lower altitudes, often below 15,000 feet.

The higher a plane flies, the thinner the air becomes, which produces less lift for the aircraft. This makes it less efficient to fly.

Planes fly high to avoid bad weather, which is most likely in the troposphere, the atmospheric layer closest to the ground. They also prefer the stratosphere, which has less turbulence.
