Yes, both father and mother are important, but sometimes depending on family matters, one parent becomes more important than the other. For example, if one parent is abusive, then the other is the more favorite one, in the same way, if one parent passes away, the other becomes the favorite.

Sometimes it also depends on who is more present in the children’s lives, who the children trust more. For me, personally, my mom is my favorite, she has always guided us and taught us the difference between right and wrong, even though she worked, she always made time for us. Dad has been there, but never had a good relationship with us, he was more involved with other peoples children and hardly spent time to understand and guide us.

But that’s just my personal opinion.

– Spend more time with friends and family who make you feel good and take care of you.
– Speak to a counsellor or psychologist, this will help you overcome your fears and help deal with past trauma.
– Just do what you love, weather it’s reading a book, colouring, writing, singing, dancing, anything!
