Christianity teaches that God is to be feared. Is it not ideal to love and respect God rather than fear Him?
You may not have proof about the belief in God, but it does not mean that everybody else also does not have proof like you. Be careful not to make general assumptions about peoples beliefs, experiences etc. People are individuals, and experience life in many different ways. May I ask if you are an atheist, because your answer sound like it.
When you have a fear of God, you actually have fear of his judgment. God sees everything, hears everything and knows everything. He creates our destinies, so maybe this is the reason why people are afraid of God’s Will and Plan.
God is simply an idea; a belief without proof. Be careful as to what you believe from any organization.
We have to love and obey God not to fear him..but in the other hand the fear of God is the beginning of wisdoms
