What happened to Facebook?

Am I am the only one is each day more, dar far away from FB? Back in the days FB was just a place to stay in touch with our also far far away relatives and friends. But they were real friends people we knew and those were real facts real life events…nowadays FB is more like a VD passarele with more virtual friends than real. I am so lazy to log in to respond messages or reply to comments. People don’t even spontaneously write anymore. Now we quote, or worst we post images. Yes because they worth more than a 1000 words.

Or maybe I am just too old already and becoming obsolete.

Facebook is becoming more of a social marketplace that a social networking site.
      /
Few days back when facebook was still the real facebook, someone couldn’t spend a day without visiting the platform, but today its becoming more annoying as automated interaction is more in action than human interactions.
      /
Right facebook is a place to visit only if you have something to sell, unlike before were you’ll visit it to connect with friends and family.
      /
I guess that’s the loophole Thinkle is fighting to cover, by developing a platform that’ll have more to do with real human-to-human interactive connections and less of drama as found in many of those social networking site.
      /
The thing about facebook is, they’re trying to blend three things into one ☝️ (ie: facebook, whatsapp, and instagram) which in truth will not create a viable user experience.

Facebook as an enterprise is doing well actually but in an era where social media is a controlling factors People have started being paranoid about their privacy and security…. Facebook does not have a history of excellence when it comes to confidentiality… thus Facebook is losing something that is far important than a new customer.. it’s losing its loyal customers…..in short customer confidence is dying out

I think facebook is becoming obsolete day by day because of the following reasons –

1.the coming of more interactive applications which enable people to interact in real time.

2.the major data breaches and other allegations on Facebook which have put questions on its data handling capabilities.

3.the wave of de-socialisation seen in todays era.
People, rather than being open to other’s ideas and lifes, are choosing to assert their own views.

In other words from an era of discussion and consultations we are moving towards one way assertion of our own “right” over other’s “wrongs”.
Thus in such an environment Facebook is bound to loose relevance.

It is rather interesting to note that the people’s disinterest in facebook is being accompanied by increasing popularity of Twitter. The trend is easily predictable as on twitter one can write his/her opinion and be seen by thousand others without any formal friend request or risks of privacy.

Thus, the decreasing popularity or interest in facebook can be attributed to both Facebook’s own doing and also the change in our societal structure .

Facebook has been banned by several governments for various reasons, including Syria, China, and Iran.

On August 13, 2019, it was revealed that the company had in fact enlisted contractors to create and obtain transcripts of users, which were then analyzed to help spread political messages.

I think with advanced technology, people are now changing to other social media channels. Not to mention, Whatsapp is now almost the same as Facebook (even though its one company), people are more active over whatsapp and other messaging tools than FB.
I think facebook has not evolved as much as it should have, it is becoming old and boring.
