Firstly, before I answer your question, I will have to correct your mistake. Do you probably mean what is a belief? Belief is a noun, and believe is a verb. When it comes to belief, I think it’s some fact which we believe is true. Belief is a part of our mind and personality. Every human being has his own beliefs and opinion. When we experience some challenges in our lives, or when difficult and beautiful things occur in our life, we create our own perceptions of those situations.
to have confidence in the truth
to have confidence in the truth, the existence, or the reliability of something, although without absolute proof that one is right in doing so. Only if one believes in something can one act purposefully.
To believe simply means to accept something as true in your heart or mind, even if you don’t have all the proof. It’s like trust — you choose to hold on to it. For example, you can believe in yourself, believe in someone you love, or believe in something bigger than you.
