This story was told to me, I’m not sure if it’s the correct one or not, but here you go:
A long time ago there was a priest named Saint Valentines, and during this dreadful time, people were not allowed to have loved marriages. So Saint Valentine used to secretly wed lovers and help them. One day Saint Valentine got caught and unfortunately he was killed.
Hence, we celebrate love on valentines day, to commemorate this man who believed in love.
