Just as your question goes; Christians claim to follow Jesus because of the benefits the Bible has been promising them from that date they started programming their mind by means of reading the Bible. Some of these benefits promised by Jesus are prosperities, abundance, good life and off course eternal life; which all these are what i call in marketing lead magnet.
If you’re a marketer, i guess you’ll understand better what’s a lead magnet.
So Christian’s seem not to follow the teachings of bible because, 90% of all the scriptures in the Bible are based on real life practices, which by honesty; most people who turn to follow jesus is because they’re seeking for a good and easy life ( off course which’s exactly what the Bible is promising them).
But in real? They’re not willing nor ready to follow the teachings because they find it to be some sort of difficult tax for them to do.
Like i said before. The Bible contains roughly about 90% of true life scriptures. Which if you read them in truth and practice them in full, you’ll experience God presence in your life.
Amongst all types of religion, despite their differences in book titles. But they’re all known as holy book (God’s words) which anyone can then create their religion while tapping powerful words from the holy book as a proof of trust to keep their members following.
Even you reading this now, can create your own religion using God’s words as a backup of your religion to keep your members on the track.
Religion is just a business venture as far as I’m concerned. While Christianity top the market capitalizations due to their great advertising and marketing strategies. While controlling over 60% of the world populations.
In terms of revenue. The Catholic Church realizes more income than most of these popular companies you know.
What’s most funny to me is; some of Christian’s followers somewhere do not even have a place to lay their head at night.
The same Catholic Church bans man made God (which they label as idol worshipping) yes the holy maria in church is MAN MADE plus their jesus on the cross is MAN MADE. Which i call it idol worshipping.
PN: I cannot continue because Thinkle only allows 499 words per each answer.
I wish you coul have continued, its unfortunate that you could not write more! Interesting!
Although there are many claims that people follow Jesus Christ, it should also be understood that there are many types of Christians thus not to confuse Christianity. The first type of Christian is the True believer, another follower of Christ is the make believer ,and the last is the Unbeliever.
These are the categories ranges in the world . A true Believer is that pure person, that person that will stand for Gods word no matter what, that will dress decently and stand out doing so unto a higer power. That will repent and indulge in water baptism. The one who will forgive easily and hold no grudge. The positive and always faithful one and lastly always pray and read Gods word while keeping hes commandments.
The make believer ,always claims to believe in God but never pray, never read the bible, always pretend to be highly religious but his heart is cold. The make believer lie, smoke and drink and still say he believes in God. The make believer, say kind words and sing angelicly but the heart and soul is empty. He pretends to love hes brother but has utter hate.
The unbeliever is open and show no sense of interest in God. He always chooses the dark side pertaining to the devil sometimes without even knowing.
Many Christians strive to follow Jesus’ teachings, but humans are fallible and may not always live up to his ideals. Factors like personal interpretation, cultural influences, and human weaknesses can lead to inconsistencies. Additionally, Christianity is a diverse religion with various interpretations and practices. Despite these challenges, many Christians continuously seek to align their lives with Jesus’ teachings of love, compassion, and forgiveness.
