Here is how you can update your facebook email and password, I experienced similar problem and difficulty lately when i retrieved my long time facebook account, then I needed to change the account email and password, so as to keep my facebook account safe and secured.

I will list below for you the exact steps which i walked through to successfully update my facebook account email and password.

1. Login your facebook account
2. Look at the top-right corner of your screen (facebook UI)
3. Click on the drop down you see, and select “Settings & Privacy”, then select “Settings”

*You’ll be redirected to facebook general settings user interface, which will allow you to edit/change your facebook (name, username, and primary email address). Read carefully and follow the instructions given to you by facebook, to change or update your email.

After you update your email address, you can follow the same three steps above to land on the settings page. Then look at your left-hand screen corner, just slidely below the “General” tap, you will see the “Security and Login” tap, click on it to update your facebook password.
