Data value is a correspondent representation to validate something, depending on where the value is needed. A clear example of data value is when you register for a Facebook Account and a 6-digit code is sent to you for activating your account.
The six digit code is considered a data value, which is what you need to validate your account. If you enter any different 6-digit code, not the same as the one sent to you, it will not work. In that case you entered a wrong value of data. There are three types of data; Words, Numbers, and Booleans.
