Inner peace is truly a threat to our daily lives as humans. Saying who have inner peace between a poor and a rich is what I can’t really place, because our individual inner peace are triggered by our desires in life – and offcourse we all know as our faces are different so is our hearts, intentions, and wishes.
Your inner peace I believe is a state to maintain within between what you expect from life and what life offer to you.
Finally, i will say… you can still have inner peace even if you’re poor. Likewise you might not still have inner peace even if you’re rich.
Inner peace is how you feel inside. And it’s a threat to the physical (real-world). 🤴🌹 ☮️
The rich may experience temporary peace through financial security, but wealth brings its own anxieties—maintaining status, fear of loss, or emptiness despite abundance. Studies show money improves happiness only up to a point where basic needs are met.
The poor often develop resilience through necessity, finding joy in simple connections and present moments. However, chronic poverty’s stresses—food insecurity, health risks—can erode peace.
Ultimately, peace depends on mindset:
The grateful rich who use wealth for purpose
The content poor who embrace life’s intangible gifts
The anxious rich trapped in comparison
The despairing poor overwhelmed by hardship
Eastern philosophies suggest peace comes from detaching from material outcomes. Viktor Frankl’s Holocaust observations show even in extreme poverty, meaning can bring peace. Modern research confirms that after ~$75k/year (context-adjusted), additional wealth doesn’t increase peace.
The most peaceful are those—rich or poor—who:
Practice gratitude
Cultivate strong relationships
Find purpose beyond possessions
Accept life’s impermanence
